حل وزير النفط والثروة المعدنية بالجمهورية العربية السورية، فراس حسن قدور بالجزائر ، بدعوة من وزير الطاقة والمناجم، محمد عرقاب،والذي كان في استقباله.
وكان وزير النفط والثروة المعدنية السوري مرفوقا بوفد هام، مكون من إطارات من وزارة النفط والثروة المعدنية وشركة الكهرباء السورية.
وتندرج هذه الزيارة في إطار بحث سبل تعزيز التعـاون بين البلدين فــي مجــالات البحث والاستكشـاف عن المحروقــات، وفي مجال الغـاز والمناجم والمنتجات النفطية. بالإضافة الى مجال انتاج، نقل وتوزيع الكهرباء وتبادل الخبرات.
كما سيكون لوزير النفط والثروة المعدنية السوري والوفد المرافق له، خلال هذه الزيارة، لقاءات مع مسؤولي مجمعات سوناطراك وسونلغاز ومناجم الجزائر، وسيزور بعض المنشآت الطاقوية.
