صوّتت لجنة الأمم المتحدة المعنية بالمسائل الاقتصادية والمالية (اللجنة الثانية) مساء الأربعاء، بأغلبية ساحقة بلغت 159 صوتًا، لصالح مشروع قرار يؤكد على “السيادة الدائمة للشعب الفلسطيني على موارده الطبيعية” في الأرض الفلسطينية المحتلة، بما فيها القدس الشرقية، وكذلك للسكان العرب في الجولان السوري المحتل.
ووفقًا لوكالة الأنباء الفلسطينية “وفا”، فإن مشروع القرار قُدّم من مجموعة الـ77 والصين، وحظي بدعم جميع الدول الأعضاء في الاتحاد الأوروبي. بالمقابل، عارضت 7 دول المشروع، وهي الولايات المتحدة، وإسرائيل، وكندا، وناورو، وميكرونيزيا، وبالاو، والأرجنتين. كما امتنعت 11 دولة عن التصويت.
يجدد هذا القرار التأكيد على حقوق الشعب الفلسطيني والشعوب العربية في المناطق المحتلة في السيطرة على مواردهم الطبيعية، ويعكس الدعم الدولي المتزايد لقضاياهم.
