أعلنت وزارة الشؤون الدينية والأوقاف، في بيان رسمي، عن إقامة صلاة الاستسقاء يوم السبت 1 نوفمبر 2025 الموافق لـ10 جمادى الأولى 1447هـ، ابتداءً من الساعة التاسعة صباحًا، عبر كافة ولايات الوطن، إحياءً لسنة النبي المصطفى ﷺ الذي كان إذا انحبس المطر خرج إلى المصلى متضرعًا إلى الله تعالى طالبًا الغيث.
ويأتي هذا القرار — بحسب بيان الوزارة — نظرًا لتأخر تساقط الأمطار على معظم ربوع الوطن، واستجابةً لحاجة البلاد والعباد إلى الغيث النافع، حيث دعت الوزارة جميع المديريات الولائية إلى تنظيم الصلاة في المساجد والمصليات المهيأة لذلك.
كما اغتنمت وزارة الشؤون الدينية المناسبة لتذكير الأئمة والخطباء بضرورة تخصيص الدروس والمواعظ لحث المواطنين على التوبة، وردّ المظالم، وصلة الأرحام، والصيام قبل صلاة الاستسقاء، إضافةً إلى الإكثار من الصدقات ونشر روح الرحمة والتكافل الاجتماعي بين الناس.
وختم البيان بالدعاء قائلًا:
«اللهم اسقنا الغيث ولا تجعلنا من القانطين».
