يعتبر هذا القاء حدثاً يجمع المشاركين من جميع أنحاء الوطن لتبادل الخبرات وعرض أعمالهم القصيرة. أين شاركت هذا العام 31 ولاية من كل جهات الوطن بمجموع يقارب السبعين وافد.
أين بدأ الاستقبال في يوم الجمعة 29 ديسمبر في مركز الترفيه العلمي باتنة. تم توفير الإيواء والطعام في بيت الشباب الشمرة وبيت الشباب تيمقاد. كما تم تنظيم ورشات تدريبية لفائدة المشاركين، وتناولت تقنيات الإخراج والتصوير، وتم قدمها من قبل المخرجين العرب عبد الرزاق بعجي وقاردي فوزي.
وفي نهاية الحدث، تم الإعلان عن الفائزين في مسابقات الفيلم الوثائقي التسجيلي والفيلم الروائي. حيث حققت ولاية تلمسان المرتبة الأولى في مسابقة الفيلم الوثائقي التسجيلي، تلاها ولاية سيدي بلعباس في المرتبة الثانية وولاية الجزائر في المرتبة الثالثة. في مسابقة الفيلم الروائي، حققت ولاية قسنطينة المرتبة الأولى، تلاها ولاية بومرداس في المرتبة الثانية وولاية سطيف في المرتبة الثالثة. وحصلت ولاية ميلة على المرتبة الرابعة.
يعتبر لقاء الوطني للفيلم القصير فرصة رائعة للمواهب الفنية لعرض أعمالها وتبادل الخبرات والمعرفة في مجال صناعة الأفلام القصيرة
