يقود المدرب إيهاب أبو جزر تدريبات المنتخب برباطة جأش لافتة، رغم فقدانه منزله في غزة ومقتل ما يقارب 200 فرد من عائلته، وفق ما أكده خلال التحضيرات. يقول أبو جزر:
“عاطفيًا ونفسيًا الأمر شديد الصعوبة، لكن تمثيل فلسطين أعظم شرف على الإطلاق.”
ويضيف أن وجود المنتخب في أوروبا “رسالة للعالم بأن الشعب الفلسطيني يستحق حياة كريمة ونهاية للاحتلال والحرب، خاصة مع استمرار الموت والجوع وغياب المأوى في غزة”.
رياضة مدمَّرة وحلم مستمر
اللاعبون الفلسطينيون الذين ينشط معظمهم خارج الأراضي الفلسطينية بسبب الحرب، يمثلون ما تبقى من كرة القدم الوطنية بعد تدمير البنية الرياضية على مدار عامين.
