منذ تأسيسها في أكتوبر 1987، تواصل الجمعية الجزائرية لتنظيم الأسرة (AAPF) أداء دورها الريادي كإحدى أقدم وأبرز منظمات المجتمع المدني الناشطة في مجال الصحة الأسرية، حيث جعلت من رفاه الفرد والأسرة محوراً أساسياً لعملها، في إطار رؤية إنسانية تسعى إلى بناء مجتمع عادل ومتوازن.
وتُعد الجمعية منظمة غير حكومية ذات طابع غير ربحي، كرّست جهودها لترقية حقوق الصحة الجنسية والإنجابية، وتعزيز ثقافة تنظيم الأسرة، عبر برامج توعوية ومبادرات ميدانية تستهدف مختلف فئات المجتمع، مع التركيز على الحق في المعلومة والاختيار الحر والمسؤول.
وفي سياق انفتاحها على التجارب الدولية، التحقت الجمعية سنة 1990 بـ الاتحاد الدولي لتنظيم الأسرة (IPPF)، الذي يضم ما يزيد عن 150 جمعية عبر العالم، ما مكّنها من الاستفادة من الخبرات الدولية، وتعزيز مكانتها كعضو فاعل ضمن إقليم العالم العربي.
وترتكز رؤية الجمعية الجزائرية لتنظيم الأسرة على جزائر يتمتع فيها جميع الأفراد بحقوقهم الكاملة في مجال الصحة الجنسية والإنجابية، دون تمييز أو وصم اجتماعي، وفي مناخ يحترم الكرامة الإنسانية ويكرّس مبدأ المساواة وتكافؤ الفرص.
وبفضل التزامها المستمر، تظل الجمعية مثالاً حياً على الدور المحوري الذي يلعبه المجتمع المدني في مرافقة السياسات العمومية، وترقية الوعي الصحي، والمساهمة في بناء أسرة سليمة ومجتمع أكثر توازناً واستقراراً.
