سجّلت مناطق الأمن الوطني 26,272 حادث مرور عام 2024، مع ازدياد ملحوظ بنسبة 15.06% في الحوادث، وارتفاع بنحو 3% في عدد الضحايا مقارنة بعام 2023

ويتوزع ذلك على وفاة آلاف الأشخاص وإصابة عشرات الآلاف، حيث أوردت الجهات الرسمية أن هذه الحوادث أودت بحياة أكثر من 3,740 شخصًا وأصابت 35,556 جريحًا

خلال التسعة أشهر الأولى من عام 2024 وحده، سجّلت البلاد 20,359 حادث مرور أسفرت عن 2,894 وفاة و27,776 جريحًا

كما تشير مصادر أخرى إلى أن الحوادث في سنة 2023 أسفرت عن 1,893 وفاة وأكثر من 79,771 جريحًا في حدود 63,697 حادثًا

وعلى مستوى يومي، تشير تقديرات إلى أن الجزائر تسجل 13 قتيلًا و175 جريحًا يوميًا في المتوسط، أو ما يعادل 4,500 قتيلًا سنويًا و3,500 شخصًا بعاهات مستديمة
