باريس – يبدأ الرئيس الفرنسي الأسبق نيكولا ساركوزي، في 21 أكتوبر 2025، تنفيذ حكم السجن لخمس سنوات منها ثلاث سنوات نافذة، بعد إدانته بتهم تتعلق بـ التمويل غير القانوني لحملته الانتخابية لعام 2007 و”التآمر الجنائي” في قضية التمويل الليبي، بحسب ما أوردته قناة RTL الفرنسية وأكدته وكالة الأنباء الفرنسية (AFP).
وسيقضي ساركوزي (70 سنة)، الذي حكم فرنسا بين عامي 2007 و2012، عقوبته في سجن لا سانتي بباريس، ليصبح بذلك أول رئيس سابق في الاتحاد الأوروبي يُسجن فعلياً بعد إدانته بجرائم مالية.
وأوضحت المحكمة أن تنفيذ الحكم تم استناداً إلى مذكرة توقيف مؤجلة “ذات تنفيذ مؤقت”، نظراً لـ”الخطورة الاستثنائية للأفعال” التي ارتكبها مسؤول كان يطمح آنذاك إلى أعلى منصب في الجمهورية.
وتعود القضية إلى اتهامات بتلقي تمويلات من نظام معمر القذافي لدعم حملته الانتخابية سنة 2007، وهي التهمة التي ظل ساركوزي ينفيها باستمرار.
