حذر وزير الموارد المائية والري المصري هانى سويلم من أخطار التحركات الأحادية غير الملتزمة بمبادئ القانون الدولي على أحواض الأنهار المشتركة، والتي “يُعد أحد أمثلتها السد الإثيوبي الذي تم البدء في إنشائه دونما تشاور ودون إجراء دراسات وافية عن السلامة أو عن آثاره الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والبيئية على الدول المتشاطئة”.
وأضاف الوزير المصري في الجلسة الافتتاحية لمؤتمر بغداد الدولي الرابع للمياه أن هذه الممارسات الأحادية غير التعاونية تشكل خرقاً للقانون الدولي بما في ذلك اتفاق إعلان المبادئ الموقع في عام 2015، ولا تتسق مع بيان مجلس الأمن الصادر في سبتمبر عام 2021، الأمر الذى يشكل استمراره خطراً وجودياً على أكثر من 150 مليون مواطن، في إشارة إلى عدد سكان مصر والسودان.
وشدد على أن وجود تعاون مائي فعال عابر للحدود يعد بالنسبة لمصر أمر لا غنى عنه.

Decided I would read the archives over the weekend, and a stop at blog33age confirmed that the archives would be worth the time, very few sites have archives I would actively read through but this one has earned that level of interest based on the consistent quality across what I have sampled so far.
Now feeling confident enough in this site to use it as a reference point for evaluating others on the same topic, and a look at appatoll continued the comparison friendly quality, sites that serve as quality benchmarks for their topic are precious and this one has clearly become a benchmark for me on this particular subject area.
Took a screenshot of one section to come back to later, and a stop at mivarospace prompted another saved tab, the urge to capture and revisit specific pieces of content is something I rarely feel but when I do it tells me the work is worth more than the average passing read for sure.
