يدير اللقاء الحكم الهولندي داني ماكيلي، وتسعى ألمانيا (مستضيفة البطولة) لتحقيق الانتصار الثاني وضمان التأهل إلى الدور ثمن النهائي، بعد الفوز الكبير 5-1 على أسكتلندا في المباراة الافتتاحية للبطولة.
