شهد شمال العراق تصعيداً أمنياً جديداً بعد هجوم بطائرات مسيّرة استهدف قاعدة عسكرية أميركية قرب Erbil International Airport في إقليم Kurdistan Region، وسط سماع دوي انفجارات وتصاعد أعمدة دخان من محيط المطار.
ونقلت Reuters عن مصادر أمنية أن طائرتين مسيّرتين هاجمتا القاعدة التي تتمركز فيها قوات من International Coalition Against ISIS بقيادة الولايات المتحدة، والتي تستخدم المطار مقراً لعملياتها العسكرية ضد تنظيم Islamic State.
كما أفادت Agence France-Presse بسماع انفجارات قرب المطار الدولي في أربيل مع تصاعد دخان رمادي في المنطقة، دون ورود تقارير فورية عن خسائر بشرية.
هجوم آخر يستهدف حقلاً نفطياً
في تطور موازٍ، أعلنت وزارة الثروات الطبيعية في حكومة الإقليم أن حقل سرسنك النفطي في محافظة Duhok تعرّض لهجوم بطائرات مسيّرة مساء الخميس، ما أدى إلى توقف الإنتاج مؤقتاً بعد تعرض المنشأة لأضرار.
ويُدار الحقل من قبل شركة HKN Energy الأميركية. وأوضح مصدر أمني أن مسيّرتين استهدفتا الموقع، من دون تسجيل إصابات بشرية.
هجمات بالطائرات المسيّرة في البصرة
وفي جنوب البلاد، أفادت وكالة الأنباء العراقية بسقوط أربع طائرات مسيّرة في محافظة Basra، حيث:

سقطت مسيّرة على مبنى الشحن الجوي في Basra International Airport.

سقطت مسيّرتان في مجمع البرجسية النفطي التابع لشركة أميركية.

سقطت مسيّرة أخرى في Rumaila Oil Field الذي تديره شركة BP.
وأكدت المصادر الأمنية أن الهجمات لم تسفر عن سقوط ضحايا لكنها خلفت أضراراً مادية محدودة.
العراق بين نار الصراع الإقليمي
وتأتي هذه التطورات في وقت يشهد فيه الشرق الأوسط توتراً كبيراً بعد اندلاع الحرب بين الولايات المتحدة وإسرائيل من جهة وإيران من جهة أخرى. وقد دفع هذا التصعيد بعض الفصائل المسلحة الموالية لطهران في العراق إلى إعلان عدم بقائها على الحياد، وتبني هجمات ضد قواعد أميركية في البلاد.
