تزين دار الامير عبد القادر قلب مدينة المدية و التي شيدت على النمط المعماري التقليدي الجزائري على يد مصطفى بومرزاق باي(بايلك التيطري) مابين سنة 1819م و1829 معلم حضاري مميز ورائع تم ترميمه والاعتناء به ولم يتعرض للهدم.
تعتبر بناية متحف الفنون و التقاليد الشعببة بالمدية من ابرز المعالم التاريخية العثمانية المعروفة بالولاية، هندسته مزيج بين المغربي والمشرقي.
يعود بناء هذه الدار الى لفترة العثمانية كانت بمثابة اقامة لباي بايلك التيطري، كما استعملها الأمير عبد القادر كمقر إداري وعسكري للخلافة ، في سنة 2011 اصبح متحف عمومي وطني للفنون والتقاليد الشعبية، ولم يعد مكانا لحفظ و عرض ممتلكات ثقلفية فحسب بل هو اليوم يعمل على خلق صلة مستمرة بين الجمهور والتراث الثقافي يحتوي متحف الفنون و التقاليد الشعبية بالمدية على مجموعة متنوّعة من الصناعات التقليدية الوطنية،يقوم المتحف بجرد و دراسة كل هذه الممتلكات الثقافية قصد تثمينها و صيانتها و الحفاظ عليها للاجيال القادمة المتمثلة في الزرابي، اللباس التقليدي باعتباره موروث شعبي، الحلي، الفخار، الخشب، النحاس، الحلفة نجد منها القفة الطبق المرحة و الحصيرة ووتتميز هذه المنتجات في بلادنا بتتوع الوانها و اشكالها، و اخيرا الجلد.
