خلال التسعة أشهر الأولى من عام 2024 وحده، سجّلت البلاد 20,359 حادث مرور أسفرت عن 2,894 وفاة و27,776 جريحًا

كما تشير مصادر أخرى إلى أن الحوادث في سنة 2023 أسفرت عن 1,893 وفاة وأكثر من 79,771 جريحًا في حدود 63,697 حادثًا

وعلى مستوى يومي، تشير تقديرات إلى أن الجزائر تسجل 13 قتيلًا و175 جريحًا يوميًا في المتوسط، أو ما يعادل 4,500 قتيلًا سنويًا و3,500 شخصًا بعاهات مستديمة

رغم أن الإحصائيات الرسمية لا تحدد حصّة الحوادث المرتبطة مباشرة بالإطارات المهترئة، فإن المتخصصين يربطون ارتفاع الحوادث، خاصة في ظروف الطقس السيئة، بالعجلات غير الصالحة:
